A link to the Wikipedia page on Gisèle d’Ailly-Van Waterschoot van der Gracht, (I misspelled her name in the typecast) a painter and textile artist, born in 1912; she is still alive (!) and living on the top floor of Herengracht 401, in her studio. She was knighted for her work to house the youngsters during the war and her dedication to Castrum Peregrini.
