How many professions can end so suddenly as this?
This fellow sees his skill no longer valued. A lifetime’s purpose extinguished, almost completely.
Of course, anyone younger would retrain. But it must be sad for someone who took pride in his work for decades, and who so loved his machines, to see the world move on.
